New Haven Contractors’ Alliance Mission
The New Haven Regional Contractors’ Alliance was formed in order to assist small, minority and women owned businesses improve their ability to compete for construction and construction related contracts, and to endeavor to prevent, eliminate, or minimize barriers, if any, which such businesses may encounter through developing and supporting a variety of innovative practices, programs and services to achieve these purposes.
Assist in the development of partnerships between public and private entities to address the challenges and opportunities facing the construction industry by promoting policies and practices that support the growth of minority and women owned construction business
Assist in the identification of opportunities with large construction contracting firms, developers, public agencies, and authorities
Provide minority and women owned contractors with up-to-date construction contract information
Conduct skill development courses, project specific workshops, networking events as well as business seminars and technical assistance workshops that assist minority and women owned construction businesses to competitively bid
To assist in increasing the number, size, and quality of awards to minority and women-owned construction businesses
